Corporate Health and Wellness
Thanks for your time and interest in an enhanced approach to cost- and time-effective methods of protecting investment capital and profit margins while decreasing healthcare expenditures. The altruistic value and benefits, for which there are many, will truly be the icing on the cake. When the time comes to address your work comp and healthcare costs, please remember The Wellness Connections. I trouble-shoot the root cause(s) for excessive injuries and help you explore viable alternatives. If your numbers are under control, I can show you how to enhance your Wellness allocations.
Corporate and Industrial Wellness goes far beyond cholesterol and blood pressure screenings, bone density checks, smoking cessation programs and memberships to a gym. These are very good things to provide for your employees and I also implement these methodologies. When workers can be enticed to participate (which also comes with a price), it does help minimize losses due to absenteeism and reduced productivity. Because a happy and healthy person will show up, work harder, last longer and have less risk of injury, these programs do lower healthcare costs. However, I consider these practices to be individual wellness since they are optional. Subjective participation is a major pitfall of many corporate programs.
There are ways to capitalize on employees who choose not to participate in offered wellness programs. There is also the means to pre-empt net losses which are, to some extent, a common by-product in the vast majority of programs being offered. My method specifically addresses these issues. Hence, Corporate and Industrial Wellness to the highest power. Please know, however, the need and the desire to effect change and protect workers, your human capital, must be parallel. The level of success will be commensurate with the level of commitment from the upper echelon. My program is not for those who wish to throw money at the problem and let employees do the heavy lifting. As with anything in its highest form, it is for only the serious and dedicated.
I realize by law in some states that Registered Nurses must head Corporate Wellness Programs. Unfortunately, I have heard time and again from RNs running those programs, "Their finances are not my concern." Well, as a business owner myself, your financial health is as much my concern as is your employees' physical well-being. After all, that is why we are doing this! So, if you have a medical person running a facet of your business, I present a viable alternative in the form of a Work Comp Specialist.
Since I have an extensive business background combined with the technical expertise of being a licensed clinical technician, you get the best of both worlds when I am your consultant. I have been licensed and doing bodywork on injured workers for more than two decades, which, incidentally, is not within the "scope of practice" for nurses. I don't point this out to seem demeaning; nurses are actually over-qualified for the technical aspect, but that isn't how they are being utilized. Nurses heading corporate programs is a pretty far stretch from their highest and best use. This has become politicized somewhere along the way (and I know where), and the result is producing waste and inefficiency. But, in knowing that, I can bring it back to center and simplify it. There is a better way and I know what it is.
While in college these last few years, I discovered I have two trade secrets! If you've ever had one, you know how amazing that is because they are relatively rare. I didn't realize what I had until I saw with new vision my two long-term professions intertwine. Unless one has traveled the same path as I, they likely will not have the same insights. Most medical people don't know business, and most business people don't know medicine. The fact I do is part of what sets me apart from my cohorts.
As a Work Comp Specialist, I possess the ability to address corporate and industrial healthcare efficiency in an exclusive and comprehensive manner. There is no need to commission multiple professionals. I represent the total package of Project Manager, Analyst, Consultant, Educator, Facilitator, and Licensed Clinical Technician. If exquisite customer service is important to you, and if a straight-forward delivery from a strong and seasoned professional is of value to you, I believe you will be most pleased with what I bring to the table.
